Welcome to BeGuest Casas de Taipa!

A project that resulted from the restoration and extension of a century-old family home on a rustic plot of land near the sea. The project combined the use of traditional materials - rammed earth construction, interior reed ceilings, coverings with handmade tiles and hydraulic mosaics, whitewashing - with modern solutions that ensure the required comfort - underfloor heating (for heating and cooling). Sustainability is also a concern: rainwater collected on the roof and in cisterns is reused for flushing toilets and irrigation. The water is heated by solar panels and two wood-burning stoves contribute to the heating.

There are carob trees, almond trees, cork oaks and fig trees in the grounds and guests can pick and eat figs in the summer. Each house has a tank (3x3 m) with permanently renewed and treated water, as well as its own terrace. Barbecue equipment is also available.

To make you feel really connected with nature, we've opted not to have a TV, but there is Wi-Fi, a mini-sound system with Bluetooth, board games, cards and books.

Bath towels and bed linen are provided.

Amenities - We provide toilet paper, shampoo and shower gel and a kitchen kit, just for the first night.
